jackd1-firewire software package provides JACK Audio Connection Kit (FFADO backend), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jackd1-firewire
jackd1-firewire is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jackd1-firewire package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jackd1-firewire *
You will get with jackd1-firewire package name, version, architecture and description in a table
